Steam not reaching one radiator

Once the pipe comes into the 2nd floor room it hits the ball valve, then goes into a sideways pipe which is about 10-12", then a slight elbow into the rad.

Steam not reaching one radiator on 2nd floor
Newly renting a 2nd floor apartment in a 2 family house (1 over 1) I note that one of my radiators isn't heating at all, nor is the area by the ball valve hot at all (its wide open). When I go down to the first floor, I can easily find the pipe that is heading up to that rad (coming from the basement) and it is piping hot from the floor to about 5-6', and totally cool by 6.5 - 7'. The vent is fine (I can blow through it). Any other ideas?0 -
rad not heating
does the pipe run straight up to the radiator if it goes verticle then has a horizontal run the pipe might have a sag in it or the rad valve has failed in the closed position try running the system without the vent attached to the radiator see if that helps0 -
radiator no heat
is the radiator pitched the wrong way the vent end has to be slightly hire then the pipe end0
