water in radiator steam vents

There are several causes for your problem. Look at the top of this page under systems, select the pulldown category steam. It will list problems with steam systems. My former boiler had undersized near boiler steam main. This caused spitting and leaking from radiator vents. My new boiler has a 3 inch wide main with a dropped header. A wider main slows down the steam which rids itself of excessive wetness. It produces dry steam (not the undesirable wet steam) which has stopped vent spitting. Dry steam also conveys more even heat through the system.

We have had water in the radiator steam vents of a one pipe steam system. What causes this?
Thanks for all your help now and many times in the past!
