kickspace and basboard heat

I would put a balancing valve on the fin-tube to make sure that the kickspace heater gets the flow it deserves. That coil of 1/2" serpentine tubing versus a straight-shot of 3/4" tubing tells me who will win that race :)

I would even go so far as to neck down the FTR feed to 1/2" and install a smaller balancing valve within that, even a globe valve.

    So long as

the flow rate and pressure drop requirements can be met, I cannot think of a reason not to.

Most kickspace heaters are the equivalent of (if I recall correctly) 8 to 12 feet of baseboard, so the additional three feet should not be too much of an issue.

I would suggest or at least ask, why not split them and feed each separately? Even if on the same circuit, each will see the same inlet water temperature.

If you do in fact run them in series, I am tempted to say that the KSH should be first in line so that the internal clip on thermostat get's activated sooner (your best and highest emitter in the chain) then let the baseboard do what it can.

    Use monoflow Tees

Get a pair of tees and put them in line with the loop, arrows facing together, and provide a means to bleed off the air. They used to come packaged with the tees and a coin vent, but not anymore.
