Zone still sings

Well replaced old circ with the superbrute 15-58, and line still sings. It was always hard to tell exactly where noise was coming from.

So I wanted to ask if it's possible that the old B&G 3/4" straight sweat connection flo control valve--which seems to function OK--might not quite seat or move easily anymore and cause noise as the circ starts and water starts pushing through the valve. I am replacing one flo-control already in another zone, and if you this noise presages future problems then I should probably replace all 3--two of which are SA valves piped on angle. (All circ--on return--are relatively new.)

I do notice corrosion whereever copper pipe was connected to black supply piping coming out of boiler.

Thanks,

David

    Check it out

Turn the wing nut on the top to screw it up which open the valve and see if the noise stops .......

If it does .... It's good practice to not use the 3/4" size. I would use a 1" instead. We in service found the 3/4 seem to bypass more the the larger sizes.

There was an error rendering this rich post.
