Over sized boiler

a small radiant floor in a Kitchen downtown this past Summer. The house is a small row house in the old section of town not far from the White House. I installed quik trak and piped in a thermostatic mixing valves and circulator of the boiler and added a zone valve to the main piping. Quick and easy right? Well not so fast. They turned it on recently and it started making noises. High pitched moaning noises. I went down and turned it on and sat down on my bucket to have a wait and listen. After a while, sure enough the noise cometh. But it's coming from the boiler not the new radiant circ and valve. I glance at the temp gage and it's reading 220. :O!!!!! Long story short. The boiler was over sized a bunch and the water temp set high to boot. I've heated row houses like this with a 50,000 btu boiler. Someone installed a nice Raypack H3 135. That model number means 135,000 btus. The aquastat was set at 200. It shut off around 200 and then coasted up to 220. No wonder it was moaning so. I turned it down so it turns on at 140, shuts off at 160, then coasts up to 180. Is there any way to turn down the capacity on this boiler. It's going to short cycle itself to death. This boiler also sports a Taco 0011,...on an old gravity pipe system. Bigger is better. Right? WW
