Rocky said, I think they have a "cheat sheet" handy next to the phone for just such occasions.

It would be nice if they included the info in their install/set up instructions.

    Buderus/Riello OEM

I install a lot of Buderus systems both oil and gas for replacement boilers. I also perform annual servicing of these units.

I have found out the hard way that on a Buderus/Riello OEM packaged unit they do not fire with Hago nozzles. This has happened to me on two separate occasions and I confirmed this with the Buderus tech. The nozzle must be the brand they specify.

It sounds a little strange after doing burners for so long that the brand would matter not just metering, patterning, and atomization. Hopefully this will save you some aggrevation.

nozzles may crossover according to various brands ,they are not the same /// a Hago hollow is not the same as a Delevan hollow // the delevan B-solid is definetly not the same as a Hago P or Es //thats why we use digital analyzers --even replacing the nozzle with the same after servicing you need to check your #'s always --kinda like the Crown 3-pass boiler with the beckett burner --needs to be a W nozzle-- some manufacturers recommendation are good to follow

    I've found that, \"if in doubt....\"

call tech support at Buderus. They are always "Johnny on the spot" with all kinds of burner info for their boilers. I, too, have found that different nozzle manufacturers' nozzles don't work. If I have any question about what they want to see, I call and they have my answer waiting. Have been really impressed with their knowledge of insertion depths, air settings, nozzle and pump pressures etc. I think they have a "cheat sheet" handy next to the phone for just such occasions.

I have found over the years........

...... that Delavan "W" nozzles seem to work best in the Series 40 burners. Series 40 burners don't seem to like "solid" nozzles even if they are specified.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

    Buderus/Riello

I have also found the Delevan "w" spray to usually work well. The new specs call ( in the smaller sizes) for a "b"

I have also used the "A" pattern with good results

the years I have encountered this. Hago H is not necessarily Delavan A..

I prefer Delavan b/c of the brass heads (similiar expansion of nozzle adpater/nozzle) and they seem to have more consistent, reliable perfomance.

60B seems to work well in most of the Reillo setups for me.
