Just wanted to Say thanks to Dan for his great books, and all the advice from the wallies here. I spent 2 days of my Turkey Day weekend replacing my heating system. I still have some odds and ends to clean up, but here are the results.

Its a Biasi B10-3, Honeywell AQ2000 Control, Wilo ECO and Star pumps, Hydrolevel LWCO/Aquastat, and UltraStor Indirect. The Indirect was pre-existing and still has plenty of life left in it, so I added the mix valve and relocated it to provide more room to work on the boiler.

    !

Looks beautiful! One minor item: I noticed that the T&P valve on the water heater is mounted off a Tee and some additional piping. I believe its probe must remain in the tank in order for the temp sensing part to work. I don't believe it will see th same temp as the tank where it's currently situated.

    Adam,

That was pre-existing and was pointed out to me by someone else. I already picked up another 3/4 IPS brass elbow and am going to repipe it where the run of the tee will thread onto the STainless exit nipple on the tank, the TP valve will treat on the other run end, and the water take off will come off the bull. This will put the end of the long probe into the tank water.

3 zones baseboard, still doing a re-pipe on the basement zone so that's not hooked up yet. The 4th zone is for radiant tile in all my baths. The pipe has already been run, just have to layout the shunt/mixing valve and get it all hooked up. Can't wait to wake up to warm tile floors in the baths.

While it was alot of work, It was a fun project, I hope to have the opportunity to do another sometime soon.
