Near boiler piping heights

Am doing near boiler piping with 5 circs pumping away. Regarding the elevations of the black iron piping for this, is it perfectly acceptable to have the air scoop and expansion tank up near celing height and out of the way and then run the black iron back down to waist height where the mainfold will be for the circulators? Certainly easier to maintain circulators that way. I'm assuming this doesn't create any air issues going up from the boiler supply and then back down to circulators before going copper out to the zones?

airbound
lines could possibly get air locked. heel tees with bleeders might be good insurance.0
