adustment of boiler supply lines

I had to replace silcock on boiler because it was leaking and after I turned water back on the heat is uneven and I don't know how to adjust them. I do have that manifold with 10 lines going into it but I think that is for bleeding air out i assume.
thanks

Sounds like you need to purge the air out of your loops if nothing else changed and just the water was drained.

    service call

SOUNDS like he needs a plumber to explain how system actually works , then he will be schooled to perform his own routine maintenance. one session could be extremely worthwhile

Thanks Tim I tried to bleed those lines and I am not getting much air out of them because alot of them are all limed up from the water over the years. Do you just turn those screws to purge air out?
    thanks for your help,

The pressure must be bumped up, the zones isolated from each other, and the purge station opened to allow the air to be forced out of the lines...not just opening a valve. Use eater & pressure to force the air through & out of the loops..

HOW about ten new ball valves .....to start
  • air bleed

the valves on that manifold are not for air. they are for balancing the system.
Your only hope is to bump the system to about 25 psi (no more than 30 or your pressure relief valve will blow down)
close the return valve and quickly open the boiler drain with the hose on it.
That may create enough push to blast the air through.
are there any coin vents or AAV's higher up on the system?
if so, that is were i would start.
