Boiler flame roll out

My boiler is a 24 year old Weil McLain HE-4 Series II. Recently is has been blowing out the TFE. It seems to work fine most of the time but for some reason I can't seem to figure out it rolls out flame when it shuts down and blows the TFE. I used a mirror and looked up inside the boiler to see if it was blocked and it is clean all the way up. I've checked the power vent and it seems to be working fine. I have replaced the gas valve, thinking it was sticking open some when it shut down but the problem is still there. It fires up fine and runs fine but some times it will roll out and fry the TFE. I hope someone can help or I guess my only option is to replace the boiler. The inlet pressure and outlet pressure is good. Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Venting Problem

Seems like a intermiting venting problem. I would be looking at the power venter , fan blades , blockage , draft proven switch , proper post purge and proper termanation location. Does it terminate outside near a inside corner ?

There was an error rendering this rich post.

Sounds like a clogged heat exchanger or bad burners. You need

someone to pull burners and top flue collector. Clean burners and assess condition, clean heat exchanger which I almost guarantee will have blockage on 24 yr old HE. This should correct the flame roll out condition and improve combustion and thermal efficiency drastically. Good luck, Tim
