torch head cleaning

Over the years I have acquired over a dozen prest-o-lite and turbo torch heads that over time the flame has become null or void. Does anyone have a good suggestion on how to clean them. Thanks

There's a tool...
looks a lot like a folding multiple allen wrench thingie but has graduated sizes of little round files to poke the holes out and file them clean.0 -
torch tip
Remove orifice from tip and ream out hole with single wire from a wire brush.0 -
prest-o-lite and turbo torch
Usually the prest-o-lite had a small filter held-in by a "C" type clip, then behind that the orifice was screwed-in with an "allen key" wrench.
Tough to keep this orifice clean if this filter is missing.

tip cleaning
With the turbo-torch quick connect type handle and interchangeable tips, you can blow them out with a quick shot of acetylene. Take the tip out , an 1/8" allen wrench inserted into the bottom (gas inlet end) of the tip will get the orifice out of the tip, now you can screw the orifice into the handle so the gas goes backwards thru the orifice, give it a quick shot of gas and it's presto, cleano for another few weeks.0 -
Ultrasonic
My buddies a jeweler and I drop my tips in the ultrasonic cleaner at his place. They come out spotless.0
