Engineering degree

I do a lot of design build work. Usually this is simple but when a engineer needs to be involved it gets very complicated. If I had the degree I think I could switch to the other side of the table and put on the other hat. It would make my job much easier. Has anyone here gone for a degree online. Thats the only way I will have the time. I know some online courses are just a joke. I really want to learn something. I really just need to figure out how the pickle got into the jar.

From the old guy in the back
I think it would be an asset to your self and others with by continuing your education. I went from a NYC boiler monster to a PE but I did it the hard way at night and sneaking in a day class at times. I will say this it was fun and a wild ride and the hands on experience was worth every bit of what it cost me. The experiences and learning opportunities from craftsmen and the trades I worked with still pay dividends 40 years later when some one sends up the bat signal. As for online I really can not say as that was not the route I chose, nor was it available back then, but any education will be of value and if it takes a few years, those years will pass regardless of what you chose to do. OBTW I am still haveing fun.0
