    polystyrene... the blue Dow board. don't fall for the bubble foil or thin insulations joke that claim eqivalent R-value.
    PS... make sure you get your perimeter insulated too.

    Insultarp but explain the differences to my customer beforehand and give them the choice. I like it because it is a quicker, easier install and can be walked on without damaging it.

    R 7.2 per inch Polyisocyanurate foamboard with foil face. Its the highest R value with radiant barrier, use 2" The blue and pink board are R5"

    labor savings plus insulation

    Not to mention if the poly iso gets wet you lose some of it R value... and ants love the taste of the stuff...
