Additive in Boiler

Do I need to put some kind of additive in my two pipe steam heat system? Something like a rust inhibitor or something.

    you shouldn't

    did you have work doen on it recently? some add cleaner in to help get the junk out at first...but that should only be in for a week or two. after that it should be flushed out and the boiler skimmed. kpc
