Megasteam runs for 5 minutes...

Sounds like you have an aquastat keeping the boiler at high temps. Do you have direct hot water heating controlled by an aquastat?

If so, set it at 170F and see if that makes a difference.

I'm still in the process of tweaking my new system, but I couldn't find any documentation of this condition.
Seems that the burner will fire up for 5 minutes every hour or so...even when there's no call for heat...even if I turn the call for heat off from the thermostat. I'm not complaining because what this seems to do is always keep the water hot so when there is a call for heat, there's instant steam. Is this programmed within the burner/boiler?
My thermostat is Honeywell VisionPro 8000 set for steam.
But if i really what the heat off, I have to cut the power to the system.

    T-stat

If you disconnect the t-stat wires does the boiler still run?

Sounds like a issue with the vision-pro.

I will pull the thermostat and see what happens tonight as well turn down the aquastat...separately. Currently the aquastat is set at 195.
    Thank you.

    Problem solved!
Glen Stanton from Burnham Hydronics just informed me that I'm an idiot. Just kidding.
He was gracious enough to inform me that I don't have a tankless and shouldn't have installed the aquastat.
    Now that's customer service.
    Thank you all!

    He's the man!!!!!

That will teach me to jump to conclusions!!!!!!!!

Glenn is certainly a great asset to Burnham, he's one of the reasons I use them as my main boiler line!!!!!!
