As HR wisely pointed out, it is ILLEGAL in some states to interrupt the natural flow (including rain water) of the stream flow...

Nice article - important subject
Believe or not, some of these towns here on Long Island have traditionally been opposed to private collection of rainwater, solar, et al. However, this is all in review now, and some of these same towns are starting to open up the discussions.....even allowing solar panels...oh my! Mad Dog

Top drawer - as always. Good read for a rainy day(G) or to keep by the loo to contemplate when flushing with municipal potable treated water. I'll bet that as this RWH catches on, municipalities basing sewer bills on potable meter readings will be looking to levy charges.0
