oil saving gizmo
OK I think I know the answer to this but does anyone know for SURE if this has any effect? It should be easy to see the change in stack temp ect. but Just the effect from a smaller nozzle?
Any independent test ever get done on these things?

They were just at our shop last week. I tested our boiler here, then put the catalyst on. The combustion test with stack temp came out exactly the same. No savings.
The conclusion we all came to was that we already put an additive in our oil that has some sort of metals in it, basically the treatment does the same thing as the catalyst. Whether that's true or not I don't know.
We were going to try it on a warm air furnace, when we have time.
One of the guys that came here is a trainer at the ICPA. He ran tests and found increased stack temps with the unit installed, though the amount of benefit varied.
The company rep was cute, so there's at least one benefit.0
