    2K Balco

I think that any 2K balco sensor will work (as temp goes up resistance goes up). Here is one from the Kele catalog on line:

    http://www.kele.com/olcat/t1/10334.html

    The "type 78" is a 2K balco.

    -19 last night

with a high today expected between 0 and -10, with lows anywhere from -15 to -30 depending on what part of the valley you're in. I guess that's cold depending on your particular definition of cold. To me, cold starts at -30.
Will be deep frying a turkey for Thanksgiving as long as its above -25. Hard to get the propane deep fryer to stay running if its too much below that. Been several Thanksgivings I couldn't do it because the propane wouldn't vaporize.
Warm regards from chilly (not cold) Fairbanks,
    Rocky
