2 minutes of silence at 1100 hrs today, my thanks.

If you did not, I pray you never learn the cost of what you have now...

    I could not

attach the WMV file. Says I am not allowed to attach the format. Too bad it is an excellent video.

Please pause for 2 minutes today at 11:00.

It is a pitance of time for the sacrifice.

Freedom has never been free. Its priceless, It is worth it, and may we never forget.

God bless every service person and their families, past present and futur.

    Thank you

    WWI Poem

Here is a poem that was in my hometown newspaper today for Veteran's Day:

    In Flanders Fields

By Lt. Col. John McCrae, M.D.

    (1872-1918) Canadian Army

    --------------------------------------------

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow

between the crosses row on row,

that mark our place; and in the sky

the larks, still bravely singing, fly

scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

we lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

loved and were loved, and now we lie

    in Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

the torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

we shall not sleep, though poppies grow

    In Flanders fields.
