tomorrow , i'm replacing two on an old, existing system that has had a w-m ultra update and new pumps. my question is; do the b&gs really have a valid place in the system?

we find all they do
is rattle and the noise drives the customers nuts..needless to say we don't use them anymore.

yeah, they are good at that
we've already replaced one due to the 'debris' clog/old age that kept the water from that zone
thanks for the input0 -
we found spring checks
to be even worse at making noise..weird thing there, was that they took some months to develope this effect..we went back to good old fashioned swing checks without any problems..interesting to note tho that the spring checks built into the pumps and iso flanges behave very quietly..haven't figured out whats different between those spring checks and the conbraco units that made lots of noise.
