Tekmar 071 with the 507?

All of these are 10K NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) sensors. At 77F, they register 10,000 ohms resistance. Snowmelt sensors (090) are different just for the record.
I sent you a PDF to your email of the SR503 wiring diagram.
There is a newer sensor available that is for "In-wall" applications that blends fairly nicely. It is a number 084 sensor. Check it out at this link http://www.tekmarcontrols.com/literature/acrobat/d084.pdf

remote sensors
I have a client who wants to use the 071 or 079 around his house instead of the aesthetically pleasing 076/7.
I think they're all 10k sensors so doesn't that make them practically interchangeable?

bare sensors
John,
We have had Tekmar make and send us 10K "special" sensors. They are the bare sensor before it is mounted into they're housing. What we used these for was to mount behind a wall plate or decorative plate to sense the room temp allowing us to mount t-stats in the mechanical room. They are about 1/3 the size of the slab sensor.

Really?
That sounds pretty cool.
Thanks for answering.

no problem-bo
Draw back to doing it that way is you have to upgrade to the 510 t-stat if using slap sensor also. But you can get real creative w/ possible room sensor placement. Great w/ new construction as you don't need to leave $$$$$ stats on the walls for dude to screw with. Can even make all you control boards in shop.
We have also switched to using stranded more flexible 18 ga w/all tekmar. Solid core is a **** in those small spaces in back of stat.
