New Taco 0014 circ pumps ran dry for ~30 minutes...
by mistake.
Would this damage the pumps?
They are brand new. Never run in water and were hot to the touch.
They were on for around 30 minutes.
The boiler was turned on by mistake before the water was plumbed in.
Thanks for any help.

WOW, could be a Duesy,,,
Not sure what can be done about-it now, but I would think you trimmed off some of its life expectancy.

probably
killed them. They are supposed to be water lubricated. Nothing left to lose except run them until they scream. Doubt Johnny White wants to warranty those puppies
Hot to the touch? I'm surprised you didn't get fin shaped burns checking them out!0 -
I dunno
Went to a no heat; frozen pipes call one time in a vacation home. Opened the door and heard gawdawful screaming; it was a Taco 0010 that had been running dry for who knows how long. Valved off the frozen, busted zones, put water in the boiler, and the pump quit screaming. Left it running overnight to warm the place up, but unfortunately the boiler had kicked the bucket and leaked. I still have the pump if any one wants to buy it.0 -
