NBo heat one radiator

Hello,
Just received your book on lost art of steam. great book!
I was hoping you could help me with a problem. I have one radiator on 2nd floor not giving heat. Its first one on feed from boiler. I have 2 mains and a new boiler. Pressuretrol set at 2psi. All others in house (10) working fine. Put in new main air vents last winter.
I did following: new valve, new thermostatic trap, checked for clogs, radiator is open and blew air through Ok. Return line open takes water and blew air into it and heard it in basement. Lived here 2 years and the only way to get heat is to turn up thermostat 4 or 5 degrees, but then all other rooms are too hot!
Steam reaches valve.
Steam will not go beyond valve to radiator. Feed line heats quickly and is insulated in basement. Disconnected radiator- valve fully open, no blockage.
I have small vent on radiator and can hear air releasing. I was told remove it.
Like i said rest of system working fine. Even installed 2 new air vents on mains last winter. House built about 1890.
Any suggestions?

new thermostatic trap,?
Did you check this item. many have been as bad as the ones they've replaced. Find a solid disc that would cover the trap if the cap and disc removed. with a red rubber seal and a small C clamp remove the cap and disc and replace it w/ the solid disc, rubber seal, and C clamp and turn on the steam. Or just take off the cap and disc and turn on the steam. if alls well with the steam it'll come out where the cap and disc should be.0
