Calculating EDR
Options
Hey all,
I have some snazzy, old, funky, totally unique radiators to work with.
NOTHING on their EDR or manufacturer.
I can, however, calculation all surface area and such.
Does anyone know the formula to actually calculate EDR?

Surface area
Is that not pretty much what you are looking for?
I mean, short of trying the "paint dunking method", if you have the area, multiply it by 240 to get your baseline at 215 degrees in a 70 degree room.
Then table it down from there, 2 BTUs per Hour per SF per degree difference to the room temperature, that is pretty close.0
