My suppliers are looking at Watts, Zurn, and Mr.Pex. Kitec had the best selection of fittings. Maybe the others will step up to the plate.

Hey Dave, yep the fittings are pretty good..not sure if i should Fill up(Restock) on some of it?( just for repairs/Redos)..

Or like you said some others may step up to the plate

Even better yet have the same OD/ID sizes..

Is Canada maybe the source for Kitec from now on ?

Hope all is well for you down in denver. Richard.

Will Veiga/Fostapex fit the Kitec fittings? Or are they slightly different diameters?

I am Thinking of DIN, where one fits all kinda thing..

( Standard Industries Norms)...Fat chance ehh?

Your in the world of lawyers Pal.

Cover your butt and use only factory approved materials.

I use Veiga tubing and Viega fittings only.

Mix and match is asking for trouble. Which company is going to stand behind you when you have a leak on a Sunday and it takes the cieling down ?

Derheatmeister. Sorry I guess I have been out of the loop. Kitec has left the building? Stopped making in US? or what? I haven't heard anything about Kitec lately.

    Never did like that stuff

Ornery to work with and fittings were proprietary in size and nature.

Viega is still my first choice for PAP. You have to strip the outside coating to accept a sleeve but it uses standard size pex fittings. PAP is great stuff for some applications. I wish they made it in 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" bore. I'd practically do away with the torches.

    OK for Certain Situations

Steve,I mainly used it for the transit from CU to the Caleffi Brass manifolds in the mech room...

The nice thing about that is that it keeps its shape once bend into an 90 ....

Never used it > In slab < or > Staple up < I use reg Pex for that.. Richard.

    Kitec PAP

Watts' PEX-AL pipe will work with Kitec. No stripping the OD, just fit right on and press...
