Venting Help

Can someone please tell me if I need more or less venting on my Broomell 2 pipe Vapor system. I currently have 2 Gorton # 2's at the end of the returns. There's 36 feet of 2.5 inch pipe and 47 feet of 3 inch pipe. Thanks in advance for your help. Brian

Vent calculation

You can purchase the Balancing Steam System download through the online store. They explane how to caculate the needed venting and the venting rate of the different sized pipes. If you keep adding vents to a pipe that can only move x cfm adding vents that can move Z will do no good as the pipe can only carry x. It's by Gerry Gill and Steve Pajek.

The returns are 1.5" but the pipe is reduced to 3/4" before it gets to the vents. Thanks for your help.

will pretty much max out the 3/4'' tapping.

Thanks for the reply. I will add the two additional vents and try to measure how much time is saved in heating the whole system. By the way I'll contact Dan H. and make a contribution.
