Anyone have any reviews/info on the Energy Kinetics System 2000. Oil Company has recommended installing this system; sounds good, but its a bit pricey. Would like to hear from people that have it and/or what other systems are out there that will be efficient oil burning systems,

Solid efficiency
We have been installing them for 20 years and I haven't seen anything that can match the efficiency for the same price. We are still servicing the first unit we installed in 1988 and it is still chugging right along.
The more fuel costs increase, the shorter the length of time to recover the difference between the run-of-the-mill and the EK System 2000.

I live and die by the system 2000.
Routinely, just like the other night, I will drive an hour and a half to bail out other service technicians that are unfamiliar with the system, or are lacking parts. Usually free of charge.
The 40% savings is no joke. Based on all my customers savings I feel rock solid confident quoting that number.
I cannot say enough good things about the system.
If you wanted to talk in person, I would be more than happy to field any questions or concerns you have. Just call the number on the website through my find a pro link below.

Had our EK-1 installed 2 years ago..........
..........and it lowered our usage from 1230 to 790 gallons per year. We're in Huntington Station, NY for comparison purposes.
Installed by Rob Obrien, who frequents these here pages.
I have the print-outs from our oil company.
We like it a lot.
Best,
Howard

Check prices for repair components for example the combustion chamber and refractory. Make sure you can have it serviced by someone with the experience with them. And make sure your water wont be an issue with the flat plate heat exchanger. There is a nice blue boiler from the father land you should look at.

Repair parts
Since the vast majority of the repair parts on the Sys 2K are stock off the shelf items they are no more expensive than what you'd find on big blue. The refractory parts, i.e. chamber and insulation board, are in the same price range as a conventional boiler and easier to replace.
In the few cases where the plate exchanger tends to foul, treat the water, pipe the PE as a heating zone or use an indirect. Those PE's have been sold by the millions since the late 1920s for residential and commercial use both for heating and for cooling.
Reports of high prices seem to come from hear say in some cases, and third and fourth hand information in others. Any part for any boiler can be expensive if the markup is several hundred per cent. I used to buy certain parts through a friend believing that was the going price. I went to a direct outlet for those items and paid about 2/3 less.0 -

glad you're happy with it!
