Next time use the TACO Profit replacement parts for B&G and Armstrong. Much easier to work with and you get a better warranty.

I had some trouble replacing the bearing assembly on an Armstrong 1060 circulator yesterday. This was my first bearing assembly change and of course it didn't go well. The replacement bearing assembly came with a mechanical seal part# 816707-001. It contained a ceramic seal seat that was not present in the old assembly. Also, there was a spacer between the bearing and coverplate that was worn out. A replacement was not provided with the new assembly. I think the worn spacer is the "water slinger"? The instructions also refer to a spacer from between the impeller and shaft sleeve which I was unable to locate. I eventually damaged the seal and will order another one along with the water slinger.0
