Sounds like the controls, (limits) are doing what they need to do.
Where does the heat go?

Control problem ?
Hi Guys,
I have a customer who has an old American Standard gas fired hot water boiler. The boiler runs fine and gets up to temp. When it reaches high limit about 190 the boiler shuts down. The problem is it comes back on within 90 seconds and keeps going on and off like that while it is calling for heat. I replaced the dual aquastat thinking that was the problem but it is still doing the samething.I am stuck on this one. The gas valve is a power pile if that makes a difference. HELP?0
