Ask McDonalds about lap coffee. If the Honeywell control si adjustable, try turning it down.

If not call a real pro and install a three way mixing valve.

    Hot Water Temperature

There is a Honeywell thermastat on the side of the boiler, and it's set at 150. The boiler is Burnham for one-pipe steam system. The hot water can get pretty hot if you're not careful; it's best to put on the cold water first. Is there an advantage to it being set at 150 for steam, or is it okay to lower the temperature by some degrees. There is no hot water heater. The water is heated strictly by the boiler, and it does a good job. It just gets a bit too hot at times, especially when the heat comes up.

MaryAnn the water is actually closer to boiling when you are running for heat. A plumber can install a tempering valve to maintain a lower and even water temp to the faucets. WHen we install a tankless heater like you have we always install a mixing valve to control the water temp.

I would go with a thermostatic mixing valve an not just a tempering valve.

When I say tempering valve I actually mean thermostatic mixing valve just lazy when typing. I explain the difference when doing the work as the thermostatic mixing valve is more costly but actually works for an extended time period. Adjusting the aquastat ONLY EFFECTS WATER TEMP WHEN HEAT IS NOT BEING CALLED FOR. During the summer when the boiler is not producing steam the aquastat maintains water temperature.
