Solar question

Some guy is selling a used solar system for $1,600.00. It consists of 3 flat panels, a taco heatexchanger and board, 80 gallon storage tank, 40 gallon gas hotwater heater, and all pipe and valves. I spoke with the guy and he says the system is about 15 years old. It hasn't been used for the last 5 years due to using the supply and return lines for a new upstairs baseboard zone. He had the plumbers pressure test the panels to 50 lbs. and they held. The heat exchanger was also pressure tested. I am wondering if this is a good deal, what can go wrong with 15 yr old panels, and what effect would sitting idle for 5 years have on the system?
Thanks,
Dave

One gets what one pays for
Dave:
I could not sell you this system NEW for that price. Ever see Hot Tubs and Pool Tables for sale new? Little signs at the side of the road at stop signs?
Well if the add is true. What could go wrong?
improper sizing
build up in the panels, lime and glycol, plus whatever.
bad controls
bad design
The list goes on.
