Liability insurance/worker comp

Hey you all, I live and work in Boston as a contractor and my insurance is up this month but with the financial situation being what it is today I am shopping around, so does any of you all know of an insurance company for heating/cooling cotractors that is reasonably priced?

Not in Boston....

...but have always used State Farm for my business liability insurance.

For workers comp, I participate in a group rating program done through local outfit.

I used Federated insurance and I am very happy.

I am on their "platinum" plan for HVAC contractors and I pay roughly $1600 - $1800ish for the liability (1 million per occurrence, 2 million umbrella, and $2000ish for 50k worth of disability.

If you do any work that involves "public monies" an extra rider is required,that is the socalled "1mill/2mill" rider

I couldn't tell you what I pay or if it'd reasonably priced but I use the Hartford. My Agent is Fred C. Church in Andover 978-475-1865. She tells me this is the best company. I'm not sure why but I trust her. Ask for Claire Schneider if you call.
