Dropped header- A thing of beauty

is always a thing of beauty. Nice work. Obviously a Vapor system, do you know what kind it was (Dunham, Webster, Tudor etc.)?

So simple and yet so beautiful.

This job is a 2 pipe system that never had vents at the end of the mains. Just one on the condensate return line. Needless to say, all the radiators never got hot at the same time, if at all.

    My customer is just thrilled.

That is a good question, Steamhead. Most of the traps were Hoffman. The old boiler was a Peerless and we replaced it with a new Peerless. We are using a MM 62 as the primary control for the LWCO and the feeder valve, which is a MM 101A. The secondary LWCO is a Hydrolevel 500 SV with manual reset. And of course a Honeywell vaporstat.

Steamhead, Have you been using a Hydrolevel LWCO in conjunction with the VXT feeder? Which one do you use?

we use whatever the manufacturer provides. Usually that's a Hydrolevel Cycle-Guard these days.

But the VXT can be used with pretty much any LWCO out there, even the venerable M&M #67. All we have to do is use the one that matches the control system's voltage.
