safe gaurd feature

is the safe gaurd feature good or bogus? I fail to see its merits. killing the flame after 10 minutes seems crazy! Thanks for any input. Gary

My NG Burnham came with a LWCO, Model 2090

That equates to 20 minute long checking intervals, of 90 sec each.

That seems more reasonable to me.
