we finished up last summer. This is radiant, cast iron baseboard and a modine for the garage.
We have a Buderus GB142 boiler that vents thru the roof, a Buderus mixing station for the radiant, a Buderus pumping station for the cast iron and a high temp pump for the modine that was added late. Domestic hot water is a Super-Stor.
Scott
PS: The shed over the electrcial controls was the electricians answer to my complaints about where he placed the relays and control. I told him to move them, thats what he came up with. :(

Nice work!!
Nice work, Scott and crew!
I was wondering if you insulate the near-boiler piping?

Thermal Actuators
Are those Thermal Actuator's or MVA's? The Thermal Actuators, as far as I know should not be installed upside down...0 -
Niiiiice!
Great looking work Scott. Very nice, someone took some time to make the venting look nice and clean. lettering all straight and uniform. I especially like the clean looking electrical and clear labeling of fosta pex lines.

There is a "Hydronic Karaoke" thread lurking below here and it has your name all over it. Pace yourself0 -
Hope you can understand this,
looks great Scott!

what would you do then Counter Trash?
make big ugly pex loops? some people actually have basements..my understanding is it doesn't matter regarding operation..just if there is a leak the operator may end up needing replacement..weve done it on most installs without ever a problem..thats one outstanding looking job in my opinion.

one question...
Why do the the vent and combustion air pipes appear to go in seperate directions? Doesn't that create problems with direct vent equipment?

I do understand Dave
and thank you.

Not at all
SOme manufactures still requite same location termination for balanced flues but Buderus does not. We took our combustion air from a side vent but ran the flue up to the roof so we don't get the exhaust "plume" out the side of the house.
This is a new home.
Thanks for asking.

I have a couple hundred......
........actuators , motorized and thermal, mounted upside down. The only issue is if something leaks, the head will get wet. It does not affect operation, in any way.0 -
is this the same Scott?
Is this the same Scott with coffee in his hand, barefoot with robe getting his newspaper on his snowmelting sidewalk? Otherwise, great looking job you did!0 -
Reply to Gerry
Hey man, I'm not knockin' the job... Just stating a fact dude. In a case like this, the manifolds coulda been mounted to the ceiling... Probally wouldn't of been as pretty but would have saved over 100' of pex. Scott, I just wanna say sweet job. I think everone reading this has a different way to install this job.. Am I right or wrong.. Keep up the good work brotha!!0 -
Beautiful
work, friend.
So, when will we see you, Chris and the crew on This Old House?

Lookin Good!
Great Craftsmanship. I hope the folks who are getting this fine system appreciate what Milne P&H have built them! There is a Buderus floor mount Mod-Con coming in the near future. I can't wait. Keep up the great work my friend.

I have a couple of Knights we installed because building a wall was a little too much for the job. It would be nice to have the floor model.
We've got more coming.
