I have to convert a W-M model EGH-125 boiler from steam to water. Any concerns besides changing the controls?

EGH
Other than the age of the boiler, why not. My only concern would be operating efficiency. While I'm a big fan of Weil boilers, I'm not a fan of atmospheric burners. I think there are more efficient ways to heat water, but this boiler can go either way. Make sure to flush it well before converting.

Be ready
for major leaks in the system. You're running at least 10 times the pressure with hot-water than you would with steam. This WILL find any weak points.
This is one reason my company does not recommend converting steam systems to hot-water, does not perform such conversions, and will not work on a system that someone else has converted.
Period.

Hope you folks are remembering to change/upgrade your heating terminal units. You will easily lose about half of your heating output in most rads, when you convert this way.0
