banging steam pipe
Working on a 24 unit apartment bldg, has a one pipe gas fired steam system.Pipes bang like crazy when boiler makes steam,I think the main vents are bad but ran across two loops at the end of the steam mains. Are these meant to seperate the steam from water,if so,can they get blocked? Never seen anything like this except close to the boiler, these are 50feet and 100feet away for the two mains.0 -
