A tigerloop let's the air out of the fuel supply line ,or you can say self primes when on one pipe system.
The old way, using a two pipe system . What ever the burner does not burn through the nozzle the pump returns to the tank. And with it air. The problem with this system is what happen when you have a hole in the return oil line ?And you end up trying to clean the tank moving all that oil
So you may want to avoid the old return line. Old oil line with high restriction. Over head lines. One pipe system where the tank is lower them the burner.

tiger loop
can someone explain to me what a tiger loop is...and when should use one?0 -
tigerloops also work well when you have an outdoor tank --the reservoir and extra oil line inside will heat up the oil to a more desirable temperature0
