Pipe size in Australia?

in THE MAIN WALL
garden hose (it has the female connection) or 1.5" threaded pvc connection ... I wanted to send one of these too a friend in Australia but I wasnt sure if they use the same pipe standards that we have in the USA..

Does anyone know if the garden hoses in Australia are the same size/threads as over here in the states?

    put a hose on the barbie

    send along a couple of hose repair fittings[male] so your friend can make up his own aussie/usa hose.nbc
