    Wilo 3 speed pumps

It would seem that they are new to the US market but what is feeling in regards to the Wilo 3 speed pumps?
I am specifically interested in the WILO CLASSIC STAR S16BFX BRONZE CIRCULATOR. It looks as if they have a bronze 3 speed very price competitive with Grundfos as well as Taco's 007 Bronze single speed.

I have not been able to find a pump curve for this unit and wonder how it compares to the Taco 007.

    Thanks for any informed replies.
  • nice unit

We have been using them for 2 years an d have had no problems. They do not come with a internal flow check so remember one when installing. You should look at the ECO or Stratos pump they are amazing!
  • Is wilo

making variable speed pumps? If so, got a link?

    Yes,

The Stratos Eco which is a Star 16 with a drive is at least one that is comparable to a 007 and 15-58, that range. Their regular Stratos line covers slightly larger sizes. I have use a couple on a large house and they work great, allowing us to dial in the right pressure and flow we need.
  • Thanks Brad...

I'll take a look at them.

Are the Wilos at all comparable to the 007's & 15-58's price wise? Do many use them for residential? Lifespan difference? I would need to offer the customer something to offset a greater price...

    About the same price wise:

One difference is that there is no IFC, Wilo puts the flow check in the flange as an option, which might not be a good thing for the guys that love the Isolation flanges.
  • Flanges

Wilo offers isolation flanges with or w/o check valves.

    The flanges rotate as well.

    Hope this helps.
