Is O2 barrier, oxygen barrier etc. listed anywhere on the pipe? What are the markings? Pex manufacturers put all kinds of information on their tubing. Before you panic read what's on the pipe...

Pex tubing installed in hot water heat

I recently pruchased a house that has hot water heat. The system was drained and some work was done by the previous owner. Some pex was installed in the floor for a heat and also to one radiator. I see that there are differnet pex pipes for heating systems. If the wrong pipe was used is there anything I can do to help prevent corrosion other than tearing everything apart and replacing the pipe? I can not access any of it. It may be a false alarm, but I don't want to take any chances. I estimate theres about 60ft. of pex installed. Any help would be great.

I tried, but theres only a little stub sticking out of the wall on either side of the radiator. I really can see anything, all other pex is inside the floor. Do I have any options if it is aqua pex? Like additives for corrosion control?

Thanks for the link it was very useful. Can you recommend any chemicals I could use even if its just a precaution? Maybe it will help me sleep better at night until I can change the tubing if it is not the right stuff.
    Thanks again

Jason, can you post a picture of the pipe you are talking about? We may be able to identify it from the picture.
