I have a rad that is full of water (condensate) shooting out of the vent. Is there a good way to check for a blockage without removing ceiling below? Good vent & valve & pitch on rad...
Thanks, Tim

blockage
we used 1/8" pipe fittings and a pressure gauge to pressurise the radiator through the vent tapping [gently]with a hose from the kitchen sink, then opened a union in the basement to check for flow.
another reason could be excessive pressure in the system.
unfortunately we had subsidence issues which had lowered the underfloor horiz. pipe, so we just capped the vent hole in the rad.--nbc0 -
Thanks...backflushing seems to have done it!
