it was State Supply that sold me Hoffman kits for 55 & 53 a couple of years ago. Quick fix.

    Can this trap be cleaned, or is there a rebuild kit for it? I have one that was sticking, and when I tapped on it the trap closed quickly...

    the last 55 i dealt with was a 2" and i had to "fashion"( i brazed,drilled out some brass misc. fittings to make a new seat and plunger for it at midnight) seat was broken blowing steam everywhere-- anyway yes they do sell rebuild kits for them Barnes nd Jones or of course Tunstal --if needed take apart and clean out - seal the gasket for now with high temp silicone -you will need to clean the -y-strainer before it -or install 1 if here is none
