I think every name brand has given me trouble after a few years Effikal, Honeywell, Field. But by far the most troublesome is the Effikal,Its either the wiring harness plug area or the micro switches on the rotating shaft.

Sorry Dan.
These are the folks who insist, EVERY time I approach them about the massive failure rates of their pieces on commercial water heaters, that they've never had a problem.
Passing strange they include a factory jumper inside the replacement damper box for some of their OEMs. Hope this wakes them up. Shame about the danger to consumers.0 -
Always will be a problem
because we are puting electrical components near a very hot flue pipe, that along with crimping the damper to fit flue pipe on them and binding the blade which burns out motors. The sync motors ae not very durable either so there you go a little extra efficiency so we can keep the standing pilot systems and nothing but trouble.0
