kaowool strips are good for that --its a ceramic silica fiber , high temp gasketing -- any real heating supply house will have some

    boiler side clean out

    The fiber gaskets on my peerless ECT-03 oil fired boiler side clean outs need replaced. The local supply house told me nobody ever orders those and I should use red high temperature RTV. What Do you think? I could not find them online.
