Smith G8 burners/boilers in stock?

Does anyone know of a place that stocks the Carlin Ez-gas burners for the Smith boilers? I need one 3 and one 5 section burner. I can get the boiler, but there is a long lead time on the burner which may leave me with no heat. A NY area distributer that doesn't know what they are doing gave me bad info on the timeframes and now I'm stuck.

Carlin tells me the Smith burners are custom and run quiter than the ordinary Ez-gas. All have a 10 week lead time at the moment.

What will happen to a new series 8 if run on oil for a while? I guess it will never be as clean as if run only with gas.

Running the Smith 8 on oil

shouldn't be a problem- make sure it's set up properly and it won't soot up.

The EZ-Gas is in short supply this fall but that shouldn't last forever.
