Would an overfired boiler cause priming or surging

an overfired boiler is not likely to cause priming....listen to what you said...it takes 7 minutes to fill 2 mains...and shows no pressure...if it takes so long to fill the mains and no pressure..it IS UNDERFIRED=PRIMING..MAKE SURE THAT THE EDR ON BOILER IS THE NET RATING.....try shutting off some valves to isolate the system, and see if it improves the waterline issues in the boiler...what is the house heating load, radiator, edr?

My boilers is rated for 82000 BTUs (340Sqft)

if what I read is correct, I should take that 82,000BTUs and divid it by 140,000 (.58) to get the correct nozzle. If Im suppose to be running a .60 nozzle to get 82,000BTUs and Im running a .75 (givng me 105,000BTUs), would that cause the water in the sight glass to be unstable. Also may that explain why steam takes over 7mins to fill (2) 8ft mains with (2) Gorton #1s on each. The presstrol still however registers NO pressure set at .5 psi
