Good going, WP! Yes, what boiler?
Nine minutes is excellent from what I have seen and I am always looking for experiential standards when asked, "how long should it take?"
(I once had a 40 minute system cut to 20 minutes by insulating the mains, another story. This was before I knew much.)
Happy owners and happy neighbors too.

WOW!
I fired a new boiler today. Sized to load only 18 feet bigger than caculated load. Pressuretrol set to 1/2 lb. Onlt took 9 minutes to get radiators hot. The old unit used to fire away forever to get the house warm and bang. The system is so quite I have to look in at the flame to see if it is on.
Guess this means I'll have to start driving to work now. This job was nice if I needed somethig just walk across the street. My truck got good gas cosumption didn't get started for 4 days.0 -
Which boiler?

Boiler
The boiler is a Peerless 61-04. Tiny little thing not even a 1/4 the size of what we took out. The one main is about 30 feet and the other is about 45 feet.
It got me snooping around my place. I see I need to make some venting changes.0
