Thermal trap

Hi All,
I have a 30Gallon Super-Stor indirect which is exhibiting hot water creeping up the cold water feed pipe. I have heard of being able to pipe a simple thermal trap to prevent this but I can't find a good picture to illustrate how to do this. Do any of you fine gentlemen (and ladies) have a picture or a link which shows a detail of this device?
TIA, Roland.....

Before your cold water supply line enters the side of the inlet, drop your pipe 30 inches below the inlet then two elbows and come back up and tie into the inlet.

We go off top of tank and desired height, make a u turn and drop hot pipe down at least 12", we do 18" and then go back up to original hot pipe.

    Thermal trap

Before tying in to the inlet or right after coming out of the outlet of said apparatus you drop down with the piping,I usually go 12", then go straight up and continue with your piping.

    Thermal Trap

Thanks to all who replied to my question.

Bob Young; I cannot seem to find the information/diagrams on the Holby site. Do you have a link?

The Super-Stor Ultra has the cold/hot fittings on the side of the tank with the cold near the bottom. I'll post a picture.

FYI The cold in/ hot out fittings are on the left of the tank.
