Differential Setpoint Controller

builds nice controls. Some of the tekmar controls require a 24V transformer to run them. kind of a hassle, sometimes.

Plenty of solar controls are available these days, Resol is sold under a handful of names like Caleffi, Oventrop, SolarGenix and some private labels. Stecca builds nice differential controls.

Resol seems to have the widest range with one or two rely outputs. Under the Caleffi badge you can get one or two triac outputs for variable speed control. A nice feature to lessen cycling and power consumption. They have ports for data logging and connection to a laptop or IP address for remote reading and control.

Looking for advice on various brands available

I'm finalizing my plans for tying in a remote heat source to my house system via HX. It's configured as a secondary (load) source on my primary loop. I want to start the circulator on the house side of the HX, only if the HX is up to temp, and greater than the indicated temp of the boiler primary loop. I surmise a differential setpoint controller will handle this nicely. Currently, I have used Tekmar controls exclusively, and could probably use their 156 controller. I just want to have some input from the pros here as to any alternate brands, and why they might do a better job. Thanks in advance.
